Documentary photographs from coal mining communities across the Rocky Mountain West. These images — drawn from company archives, union records, newspaper morgues, and private collections — document the physical landscapes, working conditions, labor struggles, and family life of communities built around coal extraction in Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico.
